With heavy hearts the family of Jo-Anne Zwarych announce her passing at the age of 54 years after a lengthy and courageous battle with breast cancer.  Jo was predeceased by her father Steve and younger brother Darius.  Jo-Anne is survived by her life partner Bob Griffin; her Mother Joyce Zwarych (Baba Z); siblings Dennis, Terry, Darrell, Kelly, Kristal and their families; Bob's family Richard, Donna, Ron and Darlene and their families; along with several nieces,  nephews, relatives, and friends.  Jo-Anne’s life touched many. As a teacher of Ukrainian dance, throughout the province she enriched many young dancers lives.  Another important part of her life were her dogs, being dedicated to them as an owner and trainer.  She will be remembered as a kind-hearted, organized, and dedicated person.  Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at 11:00 am in St. Athanasius Ukrainian Catholic Church, 55 McMurchy Ave., Regina, SK.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Allan Blair Cancer Clinic.

Her many talents will be missed, but most of all I will miss her calming personality and being able to talk to her whenever I needed to, which was most days. To Jo-Anne's family, I am so sorry for your loss. Jo-Anne and I hung around together in grade school. I was always envious of her beautiful dance costumes! I remember her brothers scaring us when we were having a campout in her backyard. Although I had not seen her since our university days, I thought of her often. Going through my own personal battle with cancer, I know how difficult it is on our caregivers and those who are closest to us.
