Terence Wilson

In Loving Memory of Terence Wilson February 22, 1949 – March 22, 2025

With heavy hearts and deep love, we announce the passing of Terence Wilson on March 22, 2025, at the age of 76.

Born in Chester, England, on February 22, 1949, to Rhoda (Betty) and Allan Wilson, Terence was the cherished younger brother to Derrick and Barbara. In May of 1973, he made the bold and hopeful move to Canada—a journey that would mark the beginning of a life rich with adventure, love, and lasting memories.

Terence is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Donna, his daughters Julia, Michele, and Lorelli, sons Sean and Cory, and his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His love for his family was fierce and unwavering, extending even to his cherished fur-babies, who brought him constant joy and companionship.

A man of remarkable talents and entrepreneurial spirit, Terence pursued life with curiosity, courage, and creativity. Whether navigating new business ventures or exploring his latest passion, he did so with enthusiasm and determination. When he wasn’t chasing new business ventures, he loved to spend time near the water—fishing, boating, or simply enjoying the calm. Though he found joy in many things, his deepest happiness came from the love he shared with his family—and the deep connection he shared with Donna, who was his greatest support, his inspiration, and the love of his life.

Terence had a magnetic personality and a sense of humour that never faded, even during the most difficult times. His laughter filled every room, lifting the spirits of his nurses, caregivers, and all who were lucky enough to know him. Through every challenge, he remained a bright light— a caring soul who made it his mission to bring joy to those around him.

He leaves behind not just memories, but a legacy of kindness, resilience, and love that will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Terence will be forever missed by many.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to the Parkinson Society of British Columbia, whose support was invaluable throughout Terence’s journey.

It was a sad day when Terence left England to move to Canada so many years ago.Wr all went to Manchester Airport to see him off.But Terence wanted to be in a place where he would have more freedom to develop his dreams and ideas so Canada offered that for him.Terencr often sought out peace from his frustrations and fishing was a way of achieving that peace. He served in the British Army for a while and before settling down just over the border in Wales but Canada called and he took the decision to move.We spent the first 9 years of his life between Venezuela and Borneo, so the thought of moving country was not such a strange or new venture for him.He last visited the UK when his mum and then her husband died in 2006.It is good to know that Terence had such a caring and loyal wife in Donna and I am grateful he was loved and cared for do deeply to the end of his life. ~ Barbara Crallan Terence's sister
