It is with heavy hearts that we share the quiet passing of Warren Tannahill on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at the age of 91 years. Warren ("Speedy”) to those that knew of his firefighting days was born on December 11, 1930 and raised in and around Lumsden, SK.
Warren had various jobs throughout his life, his last prior to retirement was with the Workers’ Compensation Board where he was a Rehabilitation Officer. Not surprising as “helping anyone in need” was what he did.
Warren enjoyed a wonderful retirement with Eleanor, the bulk of it living at the lake where he had built their home. Happy Hour, playing crib and working on multiple projects at a time kept him busy and active.
He will be remembered by all for his love of life, friendliness, generosity, laid back nature, his sense of humour, his intellect and interest in anything that needed fixing or building.
Warren was predeceased by his parents Claude and Leola, stepfather Arthur, and siblings Barry and Claudette. Warren is survived by Eleanor, his wife and partner of 68 years; children Rian (Loraine and grandchildren), Jeff (Carla and grandchildren), Charlene (Dean and grandchildren), Rod (Debbie – deceased) and grandson. He will be fondly remembered by his brother Allan and numerous family, friends, and acquaintances. Please enter your email address to subscribe to new updates.
