Robert (Bob) Reynolds Obituary

On September 25, 2025, following a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer, Robert (Bob) Reynolds passed away at 79 with his family at his side.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 52 years, Paulette (née Beaulieu); children Amber (Jason), Cam (Robyn) and Damon (Claire); 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous relatives and friends.

Bob was predeceased by his parents, Bert and Charlotte (née Hunn), his brothers Ron and Bill Reynolds and his sister Jean Halliday (Jerry).

Bob was born in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan and grew up on the family farm near Consul, Saskatchewan. He moved to Toronto to study Electronics at DeVry Institute of Technology which led to a 30 year career at SaskTel before retiring at the age of 50 years. He enjoyed that for approximately 3 months before taking on part time work with the Town of White City, followed by several years with Home Depot.

In 1975, Bob and Paulette built their home in the Village of White City. Their tools were a hammer, hand saw, a circular saw using borrowed electricity via a very long cord stretched across the road to the neighbours and a plumb bob manufactured by Bob with a piece of string and a rock. When it was time to shingle both Bob and Paulette were on the roof. She held a lamp so Bob could see what he was doing. At that time there was a Dad’s Cookies bakery in White City and you could smell the cookies baking as they worked late into the night. The house never fell down and seems to be holding up pretty well even after 50 years!

Bob was an active member of the White City Volunteer Fire Department for 15 years. He also spent time coaching his kids fastball, baseball, hockey and ringette teams. In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing, curling and watching the Riders and Blue Jays on TV. His favourite activity was a morning coffee on the deck watching the birds and reading on his Kindle.

He will be fondly remembered for his great sense of humour, his easy-going nature, his love for his family and his willingness to help others.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Aspen Links Country Club, Events Centre, 310 Emerald Park Rd, Emerald Park, SK S4L 1B9 on Sunday, October 12, 2025 starting at 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers a donation in Bob’s name may be made to the Saskatchewan Cancer Centre.
