Vernon Gary Nichols

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Vernon (Gary) Nichols, late of Regina, SK on March 18, 2020 in the Regina Pasqua Hospital at the age of 75 years after a 7 month battle with Sinus Cancer.
He was predeceased by his father Howard in 1964, his mother Annie in 1997, infant baby sister Joanie in 1944, and son Stephen in 2002. Left to mourn are his brother Orville (Sharon) Nichols and sister Phyllis (Horst) Will and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Gary will be remembered as a fun-loving, caring brother and friend.
Gary was passionate about many things; especially his love of anything eagles and wolves. He had a sweet tooth for Dairy Queen strawberry sundaes and buying pies each year at the fundraising events. He loved playing cards and his favourite meal was the spaghetti and meatballs at Western Pizza on 9th Avenue North, Regina, SK.
Gary loved being a cab driver, which is why he drove cab for over 40 years.
As per Gary’s request, there will be no funeral. An interment will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Allan Blair Cancer Centre, Regina, SK.Subscribe to updates

Messages of Condolence
I met Garry when I was 17 and he was driving taxi. We were friends for many many years. Then I moved away from Regina for work. Upon my hubby's passing, I moved back. I was saddened to learn of Garry's passing. I would like to extend my condolences to his family and friends. We will always have that one thing. Love for a wonderful man. ~ Valeria
