Our beloved mother, Muriel Eva Moore (nee Jennings), passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2018. She is now released from her journey wandering the halls of dementia and is reunited with loved ones who passed before her.
Muriel was predeceased by her loving husband Robert (Bob) Moore in 1985, her parents George and Esther Jennings, one sister and two brothers. She is survived by her daughter Joanne Carter (Lanny); sons Robert (Grace), Terry (Barb), Pat (Sue); and daughter Shannon. Also surviving are her brother Bill (Lucie), sisters Norma Rabusic, Mary Ann Andree, and Florence (John) Hoffort. She was blessed with 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. Lynette (Paul Zorgdrager) and their children Ryan, Lane, Kyle and Cara. Aaron Carter (Krista) and their children Jocelyn, Kelsey, Megan, Nathan and great-great-granddaughter Adalynne. Rob Moore, Gary Moore (Becky) and Trena Marie and great-granddaughter Lilly. Tyler Moore (Shantel) and their children Trace and Tate. Chad and Jake Moore. Renee, Tamara and Iver Rude.
Muriel was a devoted wife, nurturing mother, sister and friend. She was full of kindness and always said, “If you haven’t got anything good to say, don’t say anything”. All were welcome at her home. From the school chums who could smell her baking a mile away to anyone who needed a helping hand. You could count on Muriel. She was the infamous “Cookie Grandma” to all who knew her and her cookies were in demand by all. Her perogies and cabbage rolls and baking of other treats were part of her excellent cooking and baking legacy.
A very special thanks to all that helped her on her journey with dementia, including her two sisters Mary Ann and Florence, whose devotion to Mom was a godsend. They are our Angels. The loving and impeccable care Mom received at Arbor Oaks was exceptional. Thanks from the bottom of our hearts to the caregivers who always had her best interests at heart.
All of Muriel’s family, extended family, and friends will always carry a piece of her in their hearts. She was a special soul and role model. It’s hard to say goodbye, but your time on earth is done, be at peace. We will always cherish your memory.
