Keith Anderson

April 1, 2026

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Keith Eric Anderson.  He passed April 1st surrounded by the love of family and friends.

Keith was a great husband, Dad and Granddad. He leaves behind his wife Vera of 57 years, his three sons Eric, Karl, and Michael – daughter-in-law Rhonda and grandchildren Rachel and Brayden.

Keith worked in the Financial Planning Industry for 35 years. He also was an avid train enthusiast, being a founding member of the West Coast Railway Assn... with the Railway Museum of BC in Squamish. He enjoyed volunteering with the North Pole Express at Christmas, taking countless families to see Santa and experience many Christmas activities. He also volunteered for many years with Special Olympics most active in the Speed Skate and Softball programs.. He played for years on the Hornets, a seniors ball team here in Coquitlam. Making many friends in each of these endeavours .

He always had a joke, one liner, or a riddle for you when he saw you. However, above these activities his first love was family. Delighting in his three sons, their achievements and successes. Enjoying family holidays camping here in BC or visiting overseas family in Belgium, Ireland, or Sweden. Being very proud of his Swedish background he learnt the language, embraced overseas family and the yearly Midsommer Festival at the Scandinavian Cultural Centre here in Burnaby.

He delighted most in the grandchildren whether shiner fishing, watching outdoor trampoline, sports events, molding clay, or listening to the trumpet. They also had something special to share with Poppie whenever he visited, and he loved it.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Calvary Baptist Church, 1636 Regan Ave, Coquitlam. May 9th at 11am.

Dearest Vera and family, Our hearts are broken to hear the news of Keith’s passing . He was such a great long time friend. It started with so many Pru conventions together, laughs at the office, dinners together, tax time visits, and long messages on the answering machine. Even after he retired we could enjoy your company at Pru reunion lunches , black jacket dinners and Steve loved when Keith had shredding to do and would meet him for lunch. He was such a good hearted soul with so much to give. May you be riding the lifelong train to heaven. Loved and not forgotten. Thank you for all the great memories you gave us. Rip Keith.Love Steve, Michele, Alexis, Tyler and Kai ❤️
