Dale Daniel Dorsch passed away peacefully with family at his side on July 18, 2019 after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 61 years. Dale fought his battle with grace and strength, supported by family and friends.
Dale was born in Weyburn, SK and grew up on the family farm, the youngest of 8. Dale worked proudly for 31 years until his retirement from Molson Breweries. He spent his entire career there, across cities and provinces, from the bottle shop to the brewhouse. Never one to stay idle, Dale continued to work after retirement for Home Depot.
A true Roughrider football fan, Dale always made time to watch the Rider games. In his younger years, Dale loved to play ball, curl, and fish, and he was always up for a good time. Dale was a joker, and he loved nothing more than to play silly pranks and tell lots, and lots, of jokes. An avid card player, he was always up for a game of Hand and Foot and in his last year, he enjoyed countless hours doing intricate puzzles. He could always be recognized by his trademark black hat, which he wore everywhere. But above all else, he loved his family fiercely and was so proud of his grand kids.
He leaves to mourn his best friend and beloved wife Linda (nee Schmidt) of Regina; daughter Lindsay (Fred) West of Regina; daughter Crystal (Dan) Irvine of Regina; his much-loved grandchildren Wyatt, Emersen, Ivy and Jack; as well as numerous family and friends.
Dale was predeceased by his parents John Henry and Mary Dorsch; brother Hank Dorsch and sister Blanche Musschoot.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 935 McCarthy Blvd North, Regina, SK.
Flowers gratefully declined. Donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit at the Regina Pasqua Hospital.
