It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beautiful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Glee passed away peacefully at the Pasqua Hospital on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at the age of 86 years. Glee will be forever loved by all of her family. Her legacy will live on in her four children Valerie (Howard) Seime, Marney Smith, Richard (Shelley) Chadwick, Terry Chadwick; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; brothers Gerry, Blair (Marj), and Harold; three sisters-in-law Yvonne (Chuck), Donna (Glen), and Patricia (Jim). She was predeceased by her husband Norman Chadwick, her parents Roy and Doris Argue; parents-in-law Jack and Betty Chadwick; sisters-in-law Wilma Argue, Nadia Argue and Ruth Argue; niece Pamela Stadnyk; nephews Dennis Argue and Tracy Argue.
Glee was born on September 28, 1931 in Rouleau, Saskatchewan to Roy and Doris Argue. Glee grew up in Wilcox where she attended school. She loved to ice skate and to go horseback riding on her horse Millie. She married her high school sweetheart, Norman Chadwick, on June 30, 1951.
She was an avid sports fan who enjoyed watching hockey, football and figure skating. Both Glee and Norm were Saskatchewan Roughrider fans and loved to watch their favorite team play. When they owned the café in Wilcox, Glee was like a second Mom to some of the boys at Notre Dame College. She also worked at the legislative building and volunteered for numerous political and sporting events.
The family would like to thank the staff of ward 4B at the Pasqua Hospital for their dedication and care of Glee through her last days. They would also like to thank the staff at Home Care and Wintergreene for their care and support over the last several years. In lieu of flowers, please send a memorial donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation at: www.heartandstroke.com.
She will be remembered for her strength, kindness, generosity, selflessness and quiet dignity and love for her family and friends. She will be sadly missed by all that knew her.
We love you forever and always.
There will be a Come and Go Tea on Monday, August 13, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. in Wintergreene Estates, 4950 Pasqua Street, Regina, SK in celebration of her life.
