Beverly Lynn Anderson

Beverly Lynn Anderson (1947 - 2025) Beverly, age 77, of White Rock, BC, died peacefully at home on Thursday, Aug 21, 2025, after a 3-year battle with ALS.

She was born in Vancouver on Dec 11, 1947 to Walter and Margaret Bennett as the third of four children, and the favorite/only daughter. The following summer (1948) Beverly and her family moved to Edmonton, Alberta, where Bev enjoyed growing up with her cousins and extended family nearby, summers at the lake, and the gifts of vibrant Christian community. After a year at Bible College, 3 years at the UofA, and a whirlwind courtship, Beverly married Keith Anderson on May 26, 1973, and together they enjoyed raising two sons, Jonathan and Scott. They enjoyed seasons of life in Lethbridge, Calgary (twice), Victoria, and in 1986, settled as a family to White Rock, BC and remained there for the rest of Bev’s life.

Bev was known for her endless creativity, warm hospitality, good book recommendations, thoughtful encouragement, playfulness and down-to-earthiness. All of which was undergirded by a steady and sincere devotion to Christ.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Bennett and Margaret Bennett, and is survived by her husband, Keith Anderson; her brothers, John (Anita) Bennett, Victor (Janet) Bennett, and George (Judy) Bennett; her sons Jonathan (Alyssa) Anderson and Scott (Janet) Anderson; and four grandchildren, Luke, Clare, Olivia and Carter.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Tuesday, Sept 9, at 1pm at Peace Portal Alliance Church, in White Rock, BC. All are welcome.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the good work of A Rocha Canada (arocha.ca) in her memory

Messages of Condolence

Bev was a year older than me and 3-4 social strata above! She was a church "beauty" and the subject of much adoration and affection. All the boys speculated on who the lucky husband would be and at the same time, admired her for simply who she was, a young lady whose grace and class were a replica of her parents and envied by many. I met her several times throughout the past 50 years including during visits to my beloved and late sister Marian in White Rock. I am saddened by her illness of which I was not aware but am sure she bore it with the same enduring belief in a Heavenly Father who has now welcomed her home. The thoughts and prayers of Arliss and I are with Keith and his family. ~ George Cuff
