Charles "Bob" Robert Skarra

December 7th, 2019

Bob passed away peacefully the morning of Saturday, December 7, 2019 at the age of 77 years. He was born September 26, 1942 in Big Valley, Alberta. Bob is lovingly remembered by his loving wife, Alena; 2 children, Deanne and Alyson; sister, Charlotte; brother, Doug; his mother, Marjorie; and 2 grandsons, Connor and Austin. Bob had a deep love of the outdoors, and spent time ice fishing, building cabins, ski-dooing, roughing it in the outdoors and farming. He was a founding member of the Red Deer Junior Forest Wardens, inspiring and encouraging a generation of young wardens. He was also actively involved with Alberta Fish and Game for many years.  Bob loved his job as a heavy duty mechanic, and especially enjoyed applying his skills fixing antique tractors.  He was a valuable member and significant contributor to the Pioneer Acres Museum donating and maintaining vintage tractors. Bob always had an easy smile, a ready joke and a willingness to help.  He will be dearly missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held December 15, 2019 from 1- 3 PM at the Holiday Inn Chalet at the Westerner Park, 4747A - 19 St, Red Deer, in a come and go tea format.

Messages:

Bob was a very special guy, always enjoyed his company, his stories that he would send me via Email. One funny incident that happened many years ago, we were at Clara and Russels outside talking when he stopped and put his hand on top of his head and said birds

So very sorry to hear of Bob’s passing. He always gave very generously of his time, knowledge, and abilities - an example to all who knew him! We will miss him!
