Gerrit Noort

Born in Oegstgeest, Netherlands. Immigrated to Canada with his parents Cornelia and Hugo in 1951. Gerrit passed away, at the age of 82, on February 26, 2018, after a valiant battle with cancer. Predeceased by sister Gerrie Dees, brother in law Jack Star and great grandson Samuel Hummelman. Survived by loving wife of 58 years: Hennie.   children: Corinne (Jacques) Hummelman, Mary Ann (Frank) Van Ryk, Gerald (Michele) Noort, Yolande (Len) Noort, Angela (Mark) Hummelman, siblings: Catherine Star and Dick (Lenie) Noort, brother in law Fred Dees, 24 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and many friends and extended family. Gerrit enjoyed holidays with Hennie in their camper driving my through BC and the US.  His favorite hobby was tending to his garden and mowing the lawn.  Gerrit’s faith in the Lord was steadfast and sure.  He loved the Lord, his wife, kids, grandkids and great grand sons.
