Diana was born and raised in Capetown, South Africa. After graduating from nursing school she married Dr. Peter J E Cruse in 1952. They were married 54 years until his death in 2006. The Cruses immigrated to Canada in 1960. Diana spent her life dedicated to supporting her husband in his surgical practice and research and to her family in all their endeavours. She was an avid horsewoman, gardener, and loved animals. Although she enjoyed Calgary she especially loved Premier Lake and the time she spent there with her family. She is lovingly remembered by 4 children, 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
