Our beloved mother, Marguerite, passed away at 89 years of age. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Mom was born and raised in North Battleford and moved to Calgary with her husband Sidney and had a family. She was an extremely kind and loving person who devoted her life to her husband, children, grandchildren, and friends. She was involved in the Anglican church and St. Andrew’s community for more than 60 years.
Left to honour her legacy of love are her three children, Barbara (Giovanni), Gary (Kari), and Trevor (Lenore); six grandchildren, Isabella, Francesca, Wyatt, Sydney, Danielle, and Julianne; as well as many nieces and nephews. We all learned from Mom the value of family ties, a great love for animals, and a passion for a challenging game of cards.
Many thanks to the staff at Bow Crest Nursing Home who treated Mom like family, the parishioners of St. Andrew’s Anglican Church who visited and supported Mom, and Reverend Christine Conkin who supported the family in the last few months.
A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, 1611 St. Andrew’s Place NW, Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 1:30 pm.
Auntie Marge was a loving and caring person. We will miss her. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
