We are sad to announce the passing of our beloved father. Many will miss Reg, as he leaves behind those who will mourn this charismatic man. Reg was born in New Westminster, and raised the fourth of five children in Surrey B.C. He was endeared to a large, extended family who were also raised in the lower mainland, giving him opportunities to be around grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Reg grew up on a farm alongside his siblings. His father served in the Canadian army in WW II, so he only got to see him on leave from the service in his early childhood. His mom managed the farm with the help of the boys. His maternal grandparents Robert & Etta Crump featured largely in his early upbringing. Reg was a curious, fun-loving, and intelligent child. He met his beloved wife Sharon when they were children, they were married for over 61 years. Reg and Sharon lived an active life and his early career in construction saw them move around B.C. and parts of the Yukon and Alberta while raising their three young children. They eventually settled back in North Delta for many years and eventually retired in Langley, B.C. Reg had an amazing skill and an eye for community building. His circle of friends was large, and he was an animal and nature lover. Reg could talk to anyone about anything. He also developed a passion for flying and was able to use this talent while working in the North. Reg, like his dad and brothers, was very knowledgeable about a vast number of subjects. His infectious laugh will be remembered by all who know him. He finally succumbed to his health issues but fought for the best quality of life he could have under those circumstances and outlived his prognosis by many years. No doubt his fighting and tenacious spirit was a factor. Reginald is survived by his son Jeff, daughter Kelly her husband Eric, son Kyle and his wife Amber and two granddaughters Kiana and Biatrix, brother Gordon his wife Verna and sister-in-law-laws Wilma and Winnie and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He is predeceased by his loving wife Sharon, brothers Bobby (Lee) & Wayne (Winnie), sister Cleo (Bob), and parents Leo & Phyllis. A gathering will be organized by the family at a later date.
