Betty Jean Davies

September 20th, 2023

It is with broken hearts the family of Betty Jean Davies (nee Craigen), announce her passing on September 20, 2023, in Abbotsford, BC, with her loved ones by her side.

Betty was the first baby born in the Bralorne, BC hospital, on July 9, 1936, to Mabel & Gordon Craigen. Betty is survived by son Gord (Pam) grandchildren Emma (Steve), Drew, Ally (Nico), and great-grandchildren Jonathan, Madalynn, and Penelope. Daughter Kelly (Terry) grandchildren Sarah, Andy, and great-grandson Linden. Daughter Kim (Tim) grandchildren Adam (Diana), Kelly (Justin) , and great-grandchildren Reegan, Blaire, Jack and Georgia. Sister Gwen Pigeau (Ernie). Friend and Loving companion Karl Sundin. Numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, loved ones and friends.

Betty was always such a hard worker whether at home on the farm with Wally and the kids in her younger years, working at Woolco, and the nursery in Fort Langley in her 50’s, or taking care of her home and plants in her later years.  Betty’s home was always immaculately clean and cozy with smells of her delicious cooking and baking and was always welcoming to all and beautifully decorated to reflect the changing seasons and holidays. Betty loved to spend time with her family and friends any chance she got, and especially enjoyed any time spent with everyone at Green Lake <3

Betty was predeceased by her loving husband Wally, Father Gordon Craigen, Mother Mabel Mahe, Stepfather herb Mahe, and sisters Vena Sheldrup and Colleen Lowe and numerous other loved ones she missed dearly and spoke of regularly.

Betty’s departure will leave an unimaginable void in our lives that we will work hard to fill with cherished memories today and forever.

A funeral service and celebration of life is to be held on Monday, October 23, 2023, at 1pm at the Fort Langley Community Church (8870 Glover Rd, Fort Langley, BC) with refreshments and visits to follow.  Please join us in bidding farewell to our Beloved Mother, Sister, Nanny, Maw-In-Law, Aunty Bet…. our Betty Boop xo
