Guy Sifert
1954 - 2024
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Guy, a beloved family member, partner, father, and friend. Born on May 14, 1954, Guy peacefully left us on October 10, 2024, leaving a legacy of love, honesty, and respect.
He leaves behind his partner, Sandy Malcolm (Ashton, Charlotte & Isabelle) his cherished daughter, Kayla Hutchison (Brad Hutchison), his grandchildren Ben & Kate. His step daughter, Shaela Verbonac and children Weston & Vienna. His Brother, Steve Sifert, Sister, Leanne Sifert, sister-in- law Debra Sifert and many nieces( Jeannine, Erin, Rhonda) and nephews (Leonard & Matthew) remember him fondly. Remembering him as well is the extended family - Emma and Benson Tran, Shawn & Keaton Ogilvie. We find solace in knowing that he is now reunited with his parents, Ronald Sr. and Joan Sifert, his brother, Ronald Jr. Sifert, and his sister-in-law, Natalie Sifert, who predeceased him.
Guy's vivacious personality made him unforgettable. He was funny, outgoing, loving, and respectful. He was always there for the people he loved, a testament to his character. His passions were as varied as they were vibrant. He loved to kick back and relax with a cold beer while enjoying a mix of Bob Marley and Allman Brothers Band music, a reflection of his deep appreciation for rock and reggae. His favorite teams - the Dallas Cowboys, Calgary Flames, and Rough Riders - will miss his cheers from the stands. His hobby of collecting model airplanes brought him endless joy, as did riding his motorcycle while listening to his favorite reggae tunes. Guy loved Jamaica, a favorite vacation spot that filled his heart with warmth. Closer to home, watching a Football game was a favored activity.
His life lessons of respect, honesty, and love were generously shared with those who had the privilege of knowing him. Guy Sifert will be profoundly missed, yet his spirit lives on in the lives of those he touched. As we hold him in our hearts, we remember not just that Guy died, but that he lived, and his life gave us memories too beautiful to forget.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Caledonian Curling Club, Saturday, July 12th, 2025 at 4:30PM. 2225 Sandra Schmirler Way, Regina, SK.

It saddens me when I found out of your passing , so many years had passed when I thought of you and wanted to reconnect with my Big Brother , you and I were so much alike and as the years passed with no contact I was shocked to see your obituary . You will be missed , I wished we would have had a better Big Brother and Little Brother relationship, things were said and done that should never have happened, and so many times I was hoping to hear from you . Well once again I’m so sorry of your passing and I hope we meet again one day , give my love to Grandpa and Grandma Rau , Mom and Dad , Ronnie and Aunt Ruth and Uncle Tony also Natalie and Matt , ~ Michael Sifert
