Gabriel Bank

Gabriel Andrew Bank

July 11, 1948 - July 7, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Gabriel Bank on July 7,2024 just shy of his 76th birthday, at the Pasqua Hospital in Regina.

Gabe is survived by his wife Denise, daughters Jennifer (Darrin) Russell and Stephanie Bank, grandchildren Alexander and Rebecca, brother Bernie Bank, sister Joan Konechny, and many other extended family and friends.

Gabe held many jobs in his lifetime, including farmer, railway sectionman, janitorial services, Commissionaire, and Insurance broker/hail adjuster. He lived for his jobs, enjoying the relationships he made along the way, often keeping in touch with people long after the job was over.

A Graveside interment will take place on July 11, 2024 at 11:15am at the Glenavon Cemetery with lunch to follow at Glenavon hall.

A Celebration of Life will be in Regina at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, please make a donation in Gabe’s name to Hospitals of Regina Foundation. That would be greatly appreciated

Gabe will always be remembered as a gentleman, in the truest sense. Quiet, unassuming, always friendly. Gabe seemed to know everyone in the hail adjusting trade, having established and maintained those friendships. I personally have many memories of Gabe that I will cherish: His shirt pocket packed with pens, notepads, calculator (there may have been a sandwich in there too haha); his favourite on the road meals, veal cutlets or hamburger steak with mashed potatoes. Hey loved his mashed potatoes! He loved his family even more and beamed when he had a chance to talk about them, so we including his adopted daughters Amanda and her two kids- the ‘little one’ and her newly born You will be missed by all Gabe. RIP. ~ Rob Price

Denise and family, you are in my thoughts and prayers. Gabe was a very special person to me. I will miss him greatly. RIP ~ Karilynn Winter

Gabe and I got to know each other quite well during his time as the afternoon commissionaire in the building I work in. We quickly realized we knew many people in common, and that we'd probably met when I was a little girl when you hosted a cooking show at my parents' farm. We had many great visits. Gabe loved to talk about you and your family, showing pictures and beaming with pride. I will miss seeing him every afternoon, and trading lunches!! I will think of him fondly when I make your recipe for baked beans. Sending love and light to you, Denise, and the rest of your family. ❤️ ~ Stacey Kosior

Gabe was such a nice man. I met him a year ago while working at social services and he was the commissionaire. He would always laugh at me when I started because I’d accidentally set off the door alarms because I didn’t scan myself out first. He will be missed! ~ Jenna Fuchs
