Kenneth W Wilson

March 21, 1941 – November 2, 2023

Graveside Internment at 11:30 a.m. at the Balcarres Cemetery on November 10, 2023.

A service and luncheon to follow at the Balcarres Senior Center.

Everyone who knew Ken is welcome to come and share their memories, lunch & popcorn.

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dad, grandpa, great-grandpa & great-great-grandpa, Ken. He crossed over peacefully at the Pasqua Hospital in Regina, with his girls nearby on November 2, 2023, at the age of 82.

Being the youngest of nine children born to Ella & Horace Wilson, Ken was well-loved. He finished his schooling and began his lifelong career as a Mechanic. While working his first job in Balcarres, he met the love of his life, Diane (Datchko). They were married in 1963 and soon began their family, three beautiful daughters.

These three daughters kept him busy in Regina, but he didn’t let girls stop him from doing what he loved; mechanics, car racing, skidooing, socializing and camping. Ultimately Ken & Diane bought property at Good Spirit Lake, where they spent as much time as possible.

Dad, we will always remember you as a comedian, creator/inventor and most of all for your helpful generous heart. Left to mourn is his sister, Helen Morton. His three daughters: Charlotte (Jeff) Thompson and family, Christine (Justin) Gibson, Chad and Brie-Ann; Jeannette (Curtis) Britton and son Blair Wilson; Angela (Marcus) Anderson and family, Cassandra (Aaron) Meszaros, Mackenzie and Ryan, six great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Dad was predeceased by his parents, Horace & Ella (Wright), his brothers, Leonard & Lloyd, his sisters, Leith Sandercock, Annie Ready, Fern Sandercock, Grace Pawliw and Alice Bedel. His great-grandson Curtis Exner, Great-great-granddaughter Kinsliegh Gibson-Mayer and his beloved wife of 43 years Diane (Datchko).

The family would like to thank the staff at the Pasqua Hospital in Regina, specifically Dr. Erin Cuddington and all the nurses and staff on UNIT 4B, for their kindness and caring as we kept dad comfortable during his last hospital stay.

Everyone is welcome to the Internment at the Balcarres Cemetery at 11:30 a.m., with a service and luncheon to follow at the Balcarres Senior Center on November 10, 2023.
