Carol Lynn Williams

August 29th, 2023

It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Carol in the early morning on August 29, 2023 at the age of 62.

Carol was predeceased by her daughter Carly Lynn, her mother Colleen Clark, her father Paul Yourex and brother Glenn Yourex, sister-in-law Janice Yourex and brother-in-law Gordon Reid.

Carol is survived by her son Dylan (Caitlin) and her siblings Bette Roberts(Gary), Judy Reid, Virginia Jordan (Len), Jim Yourex (Marilyn), Michael Stauber as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Carol started life in Success, Saskatchewan. At age nine the family moved to Regina. She attended High School at Campbell Collegiate.

Carol was a very creative artist and applied that love and skill to her career as a graphic artist. She loved her flower gardens, nature and photography. Carol was an avid Rider fan.

She made friends everywhere she went who will miss her dearly.

Her close friends observed that she was loved for her endearing soul, as a nature lover close to the the earth and for her loving personality.

She’ll be remembered for her generous heart, honesty and twinkling blue eyes, that will continue for many generations through Dylan.

Her love of cats and animals cannot be easily described. To her friends, since grade 5, she was our “Caroline, No” with the ‘happy glow’ - from The Beach Boys.

She left us too soon and we’ll be forever grateful to have had Carol touch our lives.

The family would like to thank all those who provided Carol with love and support throughout her journey.

A special thank you to the medical staff at MSU and the Palliative Care Unit at Pasqua Hospital Regina.

At her request there will be no service.

Please consider a donation in her name to an animal charity of your choice to honor Carol’s love of all creatures, great and small.

Aunty Carol was one of the best people I knew. She was loving, optimistic and funny. Whether it was cheering me on at my music recitals or letting me come work with her at the university during career day, she was unconditionally supportive as my aunt. I will always be grateful my wonderful husband and my sweet daughter had a chance to meet her. Sending love from my family here in Ontario to Dylan, as well as Carol's family and friends. She will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts. I am proud to make a donation in her name to our local animal shelter.
