Douglas Albert Tincher
July 25, 1941 - July 3, 2023

It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of Douglas Albert Tincher, loving husband, father, grandfather and loyal friend.  He lived a full and active life farming, working as a commissionaire and as an antique dealer.  Doug was very competitive and put his heart into participating in curling, golf, hockey, refereeing, playing and coaching baseball. The fond memories created, while coaching girls softball with Dick Gutfriend, will live on in the ball players and the many fans who attended the games.  He was also an active member of AA for 32 years, being of service to keep the doors open for newcomers.  He always took the time to shake everyone's hand to welcome them at meetings.  The countless hours and generosity that he gave of himself will truly be remembered in hearts of the many lives he touched throughout his life.

Doug was predeceased by his parents, Roy and June, brother Dick, sisters Margot and Colleen and cousin Bill Smith.  He is survived by his loving family, wife Darlene, daughters Tammy and Twyla (stepson Joshua), nephew Peter (Carolyn, children Lizzie, David and Abbie), nephew Jason Tividar (Jenn, children Olive, Norah and Willa), niece Tiffany Craig (Wayne, children Jayda and Emily), niece Lexi Tividar (daughter Tessa) and nephews Kyle, Trevor and niece Brittny and cousins Laurie Moore (Jo), Drew Moore (Wannapha, son Joey) and Heather Knox (Daryl, son Conor), cousin Derrick Tincher (Cheryl, sons Jeffrey, Brendan and Morgan).

Through his larger-than-life personality, sense of humor and involvement in the community, he will be fondly remembered by his family, friends and AA members.

A big thank you goes out to the compassionate Doctors and Nurses in the palliative care unit at the Pasqua Hospital.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Doug's memory can be made to the Humaine Society.

Darlene, Tammy and Twyla - I am very grateful to have known Doug through AA. He truly was an outstanding member. He gave a lot of himself, but it was returned back to him in spades.
