Legare, Nancy

On Monday, March 6, 2023 after a brief battle with cancer, the family announces the peaceful passing of Nancy Legare.  Beloved wife of Michael Huehn.  Loving mother of Emilie Legare and Nicolas Muir (Madison Panchenko). Cherished daughter of Jocelyne Quirion and much-loved sister of Sylvie Legare.  Stepmom of Joshua and Abbygale Huehn and Grandma of Paisley Huehn.  Fondly remembered by her bother-in-law Jonah Taylor, nephew Teja Legare, niece Mahina Taylor-Legare, aunts, uncles and many cousins.  Predeceased by her father Jacques Legare.

Nancy will always be remembered for her infectious laugh, bright smile and unwavering passion and devotion for family and friends.  Nancy was a fantastic baker and cook and loved to host gatherings where her laughter could often be heard over other conversations.  She was very creative, enjoyed crochet and made many beautiful Afghans, blankets, and slippers.  Her love of Christmas, it’s decorations, music and food were epic.

A celebration of Nancy’s life will be held at the Travelling Bakery Bistro located at the visitor’s centre at Buffalo Pound Provincial Park on Saturday, March 11, 2023 from 12 – 4 pm.  This will be a casual open house.

Nancy, I am so saddened to hear of your passing. Sending loving thoughts and prayers to Michael, Emilie and Nic. I remember you had the best laugh and your heart was always full of love and kindness. Fly high with the angels ❤️

We were shocked to hear of Nancy's passing so soon. I was honored when Nancy asked me to give her away at her wedding in 2015 and it is a moment that Rose and I will cherish. We were in contact with Nancy at the onset of her cancer. She was a fighter and she always cared about everyone. Sorry we can't be there to celebrate Nancy's life but we will be thinking of you all. Love Trevor and Rose xx
