We are sad to announce that William 'Willy' Lawrence has passed away.
He has gone to join his parents Wilf Lawrence (November 5th, 2000) and Margaret Foley ( January 13th, 2017) He leaves behind his sister and dog.
His death was a result of drug use. He didn't die with family around to comfort him; he died in a very ugly place. As his family we ask anyone using to please consider stopping. The drugs don't care about you. The people using with you do not care either. Please stop before its too late.
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me on the path of righteousness for His name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death; I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the LORD Forever.
A Memorial Service will be held on Okanese First Nation in the Elders Community Centre on July 14th, 2023, at 12:00pm. Interment to follow at Okanese Cemmetery.
I was heartbroken seeing my best friend go down the road he took with gangs and drugs. I will always cherish the memories I have with Will, especially the family feast I was invited to on okanese. That was an experience ill never forget
