August 14, 1969 – April 8, 2023

 

Grant Michael Kennedy passed away suddenly on April 8, 2023, at the age of 53.

Grant is predeceased by his dad, John, his grandparents, Mike and Mary Rushinko and Myles Kennedy, along with numerous aunts and uncles. Grant is survived by his mom, Evelyn, brother, Tim, Aunts; Diana, and Wanda and his two cats; Mickey, and Franky.

Grant was an avid lover and collector of Star Trek and enjoyed cheering on the Detroit Red Wings.

Grant worked for Canada Bread for 25 years and went above and beyond to look after his customers and they showed their appreciation to Grant, in more ways than one. Grant will be remembered by his story telling at family get togethers and his good sense of humor.

In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation

A celebration of life is to be announced at a later date.

I am so sorry to hear of Grant's passing. I have had many serious conversations, most just to vent. We have had even more conversations to lighten the day. Always had a joke to keep the day a little happier. He is missed. Condolences to his family and friends.

My condolences to the family. I am so sorry to hear about Grant. I have known him for over 30 years starting as a customer in my store and quickly turning into a friendship. Deepest Sympathy to Evelyn and Tim. We always enjoyed our conversions with Grant on our chance meetings with him at the grocery store. He was upbeat and usually had a joke to share. Grant will be missed by all who knew him.

I knew Grant from my many years working at Safeway. In recent years I would run into him at Sobeys when he was stocking the bread there. We would always chat and have a few laughs. I was shocked and saddened to hear of his passing. You will be missed my friend.
