Patricia Belle Husband

August 10th, 2023

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mom and grandma, Patricia Belle Husband, of Qu'Appelle, Saskatchewan on August 10th 2023, at the age of 81. Patricia lost her battle with cancer and passed away peacefully with loving family by her side.

Patricia was born in Ketchen, Saskatchewan, on April 2, 1942.  She is predeceased by her parents, Wilfred and Mary Chalupiak, Brothers, Emil Chalupiak, Bill Chalupiak and Wilfred Chalupiak, sister Olga Biyak and grandson Thomas William Swaine.  Patricia is survived by her sister Rose Shushelnicki, Patricia's children, Shari (Dean) Nagy, Les Husband, Corey Husband and April Lloyd, Daughter-in-law Colleen Husband, grandchildren Braden Lloyd, Duran Husband, Randen Nagy, Triston Lloyd, Jacob Nagy and Taylor Husband.

Mom took great pride in her yard and her flowers.  She spent countless hours in her yard, planting and weeding and taking care of her massive flower gardens.  She was a huge football fan and especially loved the Riders. She watched her last Rider game in the hospital and it was a blessing that she got to see them win.  Mom also loved oil painting and sold some of her paintings over the years through the Arlington art gallery in Regina. She was a very talented artist and loved painting landscapes and flowers, but she also painted some of her favorite Riders.  Mom loved her cats and was always taking in the stray cats in town. She was an animal lover, and could not watch any animal suffer, and I am pretty sure the cats all knew that, as they always showed up on her doorstep.

Mom spent her last weeks, out of the hospital, with her children, watching football and smoking out on the deck.  She was happy, comfortable and at peace with leaving this world, as she knew she would see us again some day. We will miss her.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Regina Humane Society.

The funeral will be a private ceremony with only close family members and friends present.
