Dalhas Carpentier

July 28, 1942 – March 3, 2023

On March 3, 2023, my soulmate & beloved husband, Dalhas Carpentier, passed away at Regina General Hospital.

He was born in North Battleford on July 28, 1942. Dalhas's career was with CP Rail until his retirement in 2000. Then he worked as a casual letter carrier for Canada Post, waiting for me to retire. In 2006, we headed south to Texas to check it allout. We bought a place in Mission, TX and for the next 17 years, it was our winter home. He loved it there. He enjoyed golfing with his group of guys immensely, working out in the gym, biking, swimming, going to dances, and all the happy hours with friends. Every winter we would take a trip over to South Padre Island for a few days where we would walk the beach with the dogs and pick shells which he used for some crafts. Dalhas enjoyed the summer months in

Moose Jaw going for coffee Mon to Fri with his lifelong friends, where they had many laughs teasing each other. Dalhas was a man of many talents. He taught himself to woodcarve and to paint. He made family members bracelets from my mom’s old silverware. Dalhas spent many hours seaching by himself & with his kids for arrowheads and had quite a collection of them. He had a green thumb and always had a bountiful garden which he shared with many. Dalhas had a love for animals, especially horses & dogs. We spent many hours on horseback, riding with friends. For the past 6 years,  Dalhas rode with his best friend, Jerry Knelsen until Jerry's passing last year. He loved those rides where he & Jerry would solve all of the world's problems. Dalhas had a touch with horses & dogs. They understood him. Every day while we were having our morning coffee, he would get Zuni & Bandit to do their tricks for treats which he had taught them. They loved him. Dalhas was meticulous at looking after his vehicles & golf cart. He was always washing & waxing them. He took pride in all the comments that people made about them. Dalhas was a kind man who never complained. I miss him terribly.

Dalhas was my rock & I miss him so much as will Zuni & Bandit. He will also be deeply missed by his children & grandchildren. Corby; Taiya, Ciara & Wyatt: Nicole; Allyas & DJ: Tyler (Eliza); Katelyn, Madeleine & Louis. Stepchildren Sheri (Sheldon); Zakary, Matt & Alec: Chad; Jordan & Jaicee. He will be missed also by his siblings Dwight (Heather), Lynn (Pat), Kim (Tim) & Ron (Val).

Dalhas was predeceased by his parnets, Louis & Mabel, as well as his siblings Randy & Lori.

Anyone wishing to make a donation in Dalhas's name, please send it to the Moose Jaw Humane Society. 1755 Stadacona St W. Moose Jaw, Sk
