It is with heavy hearts that the family of Darby Lyle Brooks announce his sudden passing in Regina Beach, SK at the age of 51 years on September 5, 2023.
Darby was predeceased by his partner Miranda, favourite Auntie Hazel, his grandma whom he adored, his Uncle Cliff, Uncle Leo and Auntie Sandra and his many loyal dog companions. There are many more aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents.
Darby is survived by his parents Lyle and Jean Brooks (his very best friend), his loyal four legged companion Lily, his brother in law Evan, his sister Tracy. Nephews Mitchell (Kayleigh) and Ryder, nieces Codee(Logan) and Rylynn (Connor) along with his great nieces, nephews and cousins.
Darby was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved to be on the lake whether it be ice fishing or summer fishing. Darby loved dogs and always had a loyal companion by his side. As a young man Darby was a fierce hockey player and supporter of his teammates. He will be fondly remembered for his trucker mouth, quick wit and courage to say whatever he happened to be thinking at the time. He will also be remembered for his big heart; he really loved hard.
A celebration of life will be held at the Italian Club on September 23, 2023 at 2 pm.
