Elaine Linda Andreychuk

February 22nd, 2023

After a year of battling health issues, Elaine passed away on February 22, 2023, at the age of 75, with her husband and daughter by her side.

Elaine grew up on Vancouver Island and raised her 2 kids in Campbell River, BC.  Elaine was actively involved with Campbell River’s special needs community and services, including countless hours shared with Special Olympics bowling and making crafts for various fundraising bazaars.

Elaine married Cecil in 2016, and they moved to Powell, MB, and eventually settled in the small community of Rockglen, SK. Elaine enjoyed helping to organize local events with her neighbors, whether it was Bridge night, games night, or a senior potluck dinner.

Elaine loved to sew and to read, but she especially loved to take road trips with her husband Cecil. They made many, many trips to visit family and friends, never missing an opportunity to play a round of golf or play a game of cards.

Elaine will be greatly missed by her husband, Cecil, her sister Sherron, her daughter Darcy (Steve), her son Keith, and grandkids Graham, Ben, Emma, & Matthew.  Elaine also had 3 step kids, Stephanie (Greg), and Yvonne (Jim), and Clayton, as well as 2 step-grandkids (Nathan & Kylan).

Messages:

We’re so sorry for your loss , thinking of you Cecil and family and friends . Sending hugs and prayers

I met Darcy when I was 13 years old. Elaine was an amazing mom! She was so tolerant of our silly teen activities and welcomed me for so many dinners and endless sleepovers! She created such a warm home and was an amazing cook! She was also very talented. I remember her sewing her own fancy dresses and being amazed at her ability. She was an amazing mom to Darcy and Keith. I will always cherish those years and the calm, welcoming atmosphere she created. She will be missed!

We extend our sympathy to Cecil and all of Elaine's family. Elaine will be missed, especially by the seniors in this community. To everyone...take care of yourselves also. That's important. Carla and Charlie
