Glenna Marie Brady

December 22nd, 2022

Heaven gained another angel on December 22, 2022 with the peaceful passing of Glenna Marie Brady (nee Sauter).

Glenna was born on August 30, 1938 to Don and Henrietta Sauter in Fairlight, SK. She was the oldest of 5 children.

Glenna moved to Regina, SK in the mid 50’s to attend secretarial school, and thereafter she married Warren in May, 1958. Glenna and Warren were proud parents to 8 children.

Warren and Glenna bought their first home on Mathieu Crescent and a few years later, they moved a block away to 4th Avenue North, where she lived until recently residing at Gardiner Point Care Home, Regina, SK.

Serving others and her community was important to Glenna. A lifetime of volunteer effort included selling 50/50 tickets at Regina Pats hockey games, working bingos for organizations (such as St. Peter’s Men’s Club and CNIB), involvement with the Brad Hornung Foundation, and coordinating door-to-door canvassing for causes such as Cancer and Diabetes. In 2021, she received the lifetime achievement award from the St.Peter’s Catholic Women’s League, acknowledging her 60 years of service.

Glenna was an avid sports fan. From being a proud billet for Regina Pats players for over 20 years, to being a regular fan while watching and cheering on her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren at their various sporting events. Glenna was always involved as a volunteer for all of her children’s teams and activities.

She would often attend garage sales, bake sales, craft sales and community teas where she would happily visit with friends and strangers alike, as she truly loved people.

Glenna is survived and will lovingly be remembered by her children Don (Karen), Mike (Joy), Marla (Murray), Della (Gord), Laura (Lawrence), Len (Nancy), and Ray (Vanessa). Glenna had truly enjoyed being part of her 18 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren’s lives. In recent times, she would often love to watch them play. Glenna also leaves her siblings Doug (Brenda), Mike (Judy), sister-in-law Sharon, and many nieces and nephews. She will also be dearly missed by her lifelong friends Elsie and Karen.

Glenna was predeceased by her husband Warren, daughter Mary Ann, parents Don and Henrietta Sauter, her siblings Judy, Wade, and in-laws Harvey and Cora, Carl Brady and Beck Aulie.

Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 30, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, 100 Argyle Street North, Regina, SK. Interment will be held on a date to be set in the future in Fairlight, SK Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Glenna would ask that you please donate to your charity of choice in her name.

She left a lasting impression on me as I saw a very energetic, efficient, and all round impressive woman and loving mother. She was always giving of herself to others and was a great help with our teams' initiatives along with demonstrating a high standard to we parents. My condolences to the family.
