Brian Bartle

April 6th, 2022

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Brian Bartle while at home on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at the age of 85 years.

Brian was predeceased by his parents George (1962) and Jane Ann (1968), his in-laws John Ell (2009) and Margaret (2001), his brother Jim (2007) and sister Mary (2008).

Brian is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Ardell. He is also survived by his daughter Sandy (Russ) Stewart and their children Andy, Samantha (Cody), Sharlett, and Shantel (Maddy); his daughter Lynn (Reg) St-Laurent and their children Isabella and Gabrielle; and his son Curtis (Michelle) and Curtis's son, Tyler and Michelle's children Matthew and Cassie.

Brian was born on December 1, 1936 in England and came to Canada in 1954 at the age of 17. He had various farming jobs in the east and made his way west to Saskatchewan. He worked at Young's Memorials for 20 years and spent 20 years farming his father’s-in-law land in Holdfast, SK.

Brian had many hobbies. He was a superb gardener and grew beautiful flowers and vegetables in his raised beds. He enjoyed listening to opera music and Pavarotti was his favorite. He was a fan of watching baseball, soccer and football games. He had years of expertise picking the winner in a horse race and although he tried to teach others, no one had his talent or skills. He was a wonderful cook but left the clean up to others. Brian's dream was to always raise racing pigeons and he did this for the past 5 years.

Heartfelt thanks to our Mom who has given our Dad love and support beyond measure. No more aches. No more pains. No more medications. We love you and will hold you close until we can all be together again.

Funeral Mass celebrating Brian's Life will be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, 100 Argyle Street N., Regina, SK. Private family interment in Holdfast Cemetery, Holdfast, SK.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Saskatchewan Heart and Stroke Foundation or The Holdfast Cemetery Fund P.O. Box 40 Holdfast, SK SOG 2H0.
