Kevin (Cal) John Uhren

February 10th, 2019

The world lost a beautiful soul on Sunday, February 10, 2019.  At the age of 58 years, Kevin John Uhren passed away peacefully surrounded by his family.

Kevin was born in 1960 to Joan and Don Uhren in Regina, SK.  He was the youngest son and fifth of six children.

Kevin is survived by his mother, Joan; wife and love of his life, Laura; three children Pam, Sarah (Michael) and Donald (Lea); three grandchildren Savanna, Payton “Peanut” and Caleb; three brothers Randy (Jo-Ann), Dan (Sheila) and Greg (Linda); one sister Jody (John); sister-in-law Dianne (Phil); and numerous special nieces and nephews.  Kevin was predeceased by his father Don and brother Rick.

Aside from his passion and love for his family, Kevin was an avid participator and spectator of many different sports; particularly golf, hockey, pool and FOOTBALL!  Anyone who knew Kevin knew he loved ‘Da Bears’.  Last, but certainly not least, we cannot finish this section without noting Kevin’s love and excitement for his annual “Madge” golf trip with the boys, he lived for it.

Known for his “give the shirt off his back for you” attitude, contagious sense of humour and fun-loving personality, he will also be mourned by numerous friends he gathered throughout his life. Kevin was loved by all who were privileged to have had the chance to know him.

Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 22, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. in Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, 5020 Sherwood Drive, Regina, SK.  In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Jean Vanier School in Regina, SK or to the Regina Palliative Home Care.

Messages:

My sincere thoughts, prayers & condolences to your entire family. I was never a personal friend of Kevin,,, but we attended St. Luke’s elementary,, he was a grade above me. I forever recall Kevin as being very athletic, beyond handsome at a young age, he was a born leader,,, never a follower, he was born gifted with humility & compassion to everyone. He was the type of big kid that would take the time to help the much younger children pull off winter boots. May God bless your family.

Laura and family, so sorry for your loss. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers. Sandra Gibson and Adam

Dear Laura and family.....I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Kevin....thoughts are with you.....

I have lovely memories of my cousin Kevin - much family time in Regina and fun we had when he visited us in Calgary. I won't forget the laughs when his Aunt put a curly perm in his beautiful hair! It was very special for us younger kids to spend time with our grown up (and kind) cousin. My condolences for the far too early loss of Kevin.

Dear Laura and family, I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Kevin. Sending you big hugs! xo

Very sad to hear about your loss and we wish to offer our condolences to the family.

Dear Joan (and family). So very sorry that you are losing another one of your babies. I can only imagine your pain. You were a loving wonderful mother, and I sure you still are that, plus a great grandmother. I hope the love of your family will be a comfort to you. I still think of you often. Love Karen
