Robert "Bob" Fisher

October 13th, 1937 ~ March 3rd, 2016

With heartfelt sadness we regret to announce the passing of Robert "Bob" Fisher on Thursday, March 3, 2016, late of Whitehorse, YT and  formerly of Regina, SK. He leaves cherished memories with his family and friends after a short struggle with cancer. He was predeceased by his parents John and Annie, daughter Jacky, sister Bernice (Al) Almassy, and brother-in-law Don Mitchall. He is survived by his son Jerrod (Brenda) and grandson Dillon; daughter Eloise (Jeff) Clark and grandson Aaron; sister Marjorie Mitchall and family; sister Bernice's family; brother Dwight (Cheryl) and family; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Bob was a millwright, fabricator, mechanic, and farmer. His love for steel was apparent to all who knew him.  His love for the accordion, polka fests, and dancing always had his feet moving on the floor.  Bowling and fishing were passions he enjoyed.  Graveside Service will be held on Friday, March 18, 2016 at 2:00 pm in Regina Memorial Gardens, Highway #1 East (Please meet at the front cemetery gate 15 minutes prior to the service to join the family in procession). Flowers most gratefully declined. Friends so wishing may make donations to the Canadian Liver Foundation @ liver.ca in Bob's memory. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and palliative care team at the Whitehorse General Hospital for their wonderful medical care throughout Bob's diagnosis and hospital stay.
