Shirley
Jean Scott passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday,
November 23, 2011 at the age of 67 years.
She is lovingly remembered by her family; husband James of 50 years;
daughter Debra (Mike) Lafond and her favourite granddaughter Nicole Lafond; her
son, Donald Scott; her father, Duffin Taylor; her brothers Ron (Linda) Taylor
and Larry (Jan) Taylor as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the
Gaetz Memorial United Church, 4758 Ross Street, Red Deer on Wednesday, November
30, 2011 at 1:00 pm.
A donation in
Shirley’s name may be made to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, 700 –
10665 Jasper Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta T5J 3S9.

Jim, Debra & Donald: The news of Shirley's death has been a great shock to Bill & I. I first worked with Shirley at the law firm which is now Johnston Ming & Company for about 11 years before she left to go to another firm and then I also left for another firm a few years later. However, we always kept in touch through work, often had lunch together and occasionally saw her while shopping. The most recent lunch was on October 28th for her birthday. Beulah, Arlene, Shirley and myself had a good chat and some good laughs during that lunch hour. It is so hard to comprehend that it was our last lunch with Shirley. Shirley was a wonderful friend and co-worker and I will miss her greatly. Bill & I want to express our sincere sympathy. Em Ramsay ~ Em & Bill Ramsay
