Stephen Vouszka was Born in Hungary March 9th, 1936. Also known by his Hungarian name Istvan Zoltan. Stephen or "Steve" was a wonderful kind man. Stephen loved music and played, the piano, accordion, and organ. He loved to listen to classical music and his favorite composer was Chopin. He loved life, people, and animals. He cared for two dogs named Benson and Hedges and three cats, Vinney, Stuffy and Luna. He loved them. In his pastime he would study languages as a hobby. He spoke Hungarian English, German, Spanish, Italian and even learned a little Japanese. You would find my father engaged in conversation, with the bus driver, cashier or someone out walking their dogs in neighborhood. Always had a joke to tell and a smile. He played chess and cooked many Hungarian dishes. His favorite movie was Young Frankenstein and he memorized many of the funny movie lines. He will be sadly missed by his wife Marie, daughter Darlene, son-in-law James and his many friends. Stephen passed away peacefully at Surrey Memorial Hospital on March 23rd, 2023.

I've known Steve for so many years. When I was in ICU he would sometimes come to me and invite me to go to 9C, where there were many old people and he asked me to play the piano to entertain the old folks. Steve also played the piano so well and sometimes the old people requested Steve to play some old songs and they usually sing in the accompaniment of the piano music. Steve has a good heart ❤️.
