 IN LOVING MEMORY CECILIA KOSCIUK 1935 to 2023 We are deeply saddened to announce the recent passing of our mother, Cecilia Kosciuk. Born and raised in a religious farming community in rural Saskatchewan, Mom was schooled early on the importance and benefits of hard work, honesty and caring for others. Upon marrying, moving to British Columbia and starting a family, those attributes remained a constant throughout her whole life. She loved to garden, preserve, bake, and cook. No holiday function would be complete without Mom’s contribution of homemade perogies, cabbage rolls, dill pickles and dinner rolls. Her true joy came, not from the preparation, but from sharing the bounty with family and friends. It was one of the many ways she showed us we were important and loved. Predeceased by her husband, Sergi, Mom was a treasured wife, through 61 years of marriage. She was a beloved mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, and neighbour. For those of us left behind, we will miss her guidance, smile, and kind nurturing presence more than words could ever express.
