GERULA, Morley John

January 15, 1951 – May 1, 2022

Morley passed away suddenly on Sunday, May 1, 2022 at the age of 71 years.

He is lovingly remembered by his son, Steve (Brad Cash) Gerula; daughter, Katie (Aaron Wold) Emmett; granddogs, Tucker & Sneaky; partner, Henrietta Clarke; sister-in-law, Lisa Gerula, and extended family members. Morley was predeceased by his father, Steven; mother, Nellie; brother, Wilfred; and beloved dog, Graci.

Morley was born in Edmonton, Alberta to Nellie & Steven on January 15, 1951 and spent his formative years growing up in Calgary, Alberta. From owning Dad’s Hobby Shop in Medicine Hat, Alberta to his most recent endeavor as a Journeyman Pipefitter working throughout northern Alberta (and just about everything in between), Morley was a man of many hats when it came to his careers. He would often say, though, that he still didn’t know what he wanted to be when he grew up.

He spent many hours in his shop working on various projects in his spare time. If it had a motor to tinker with, he was pretty happy. When he wasn’t cruising around or working on a project, “Papa G” could often be found at Captain’s Sports Lounge & Grill with Henri or his bike buddies.

A Celebration of Life for Morley will be held. Details are forthcoming.
