Arnold "Arnie" Clifford Johnson

May 24th, 2021

Arnie Johnson, loving husband of Kathy Johnson, went home to be with his Lord and Saviour the afternoon of Monday, May 24, 2021, at the age of 73.

Born in Medicine Hat, AB, September 13, 1947, he was the second oldest of six children. After stints in Medicine Hat and Edmonton Arnie finally settled in Calgary. He attended SAIT where he earned his plumbing and gasfitting tickets and began his career. Forty plus years later he was still working, all be it not as much, happy to help his friends and family.

Always the family man, his wife, kids and grandchildren meant the world to him.  His strong faith, kind heart, gentle and generous spirit were displayed daily to all who came in contact with him. Always eager to help, his willingness to lend a hand will be missed by all who had the privilege of crossing his path.

Arnie is survived and lovingly remembered by his wife and best friend, Kathy, whom he married on June 21, 1975 in Calgary. Arnie and Kathy are the parents of 2 children, Blaine (Lindsay), Wade (Samantha); and four grandchildren, Calder, Turner, Hayden and Emersyn. Arnie was predeceased by his parents, Gordon and June Johnson.

Memorial Service will be live streamed from BP Church on Tuesday June 1, 2021 at 2:00 PM, and can be viewed at the following link http://live.bpchurch.ca.

Messages:

A very nice person went home in May to be with his Heavenly Father. I remember when Arni played his trumpet at the church. Now he can join others in playing in the heavenly orchestra. Arni will be missed and many grieve his loss. Sending my sympathy Kathy to you and your family..............Pat Barsness

Dear Kathy and family, our deepest sympathy to you during this time of grief and mourning. It’s very hard to understand sometimes... and I imagine the unexpected loss of your loved one makes it even more difficult. So, our thoughts and prayers are with you and we pray that you will sense God’s presence as never before carrying you through the days ahead.

Kathy and family, So sorry to hear of Arnie’s passing. We had many good memories of our times together. Sending you all my love and prayers. ❤️

Dear Kathy and Family. I'm very sorry to hear of Arnie's sudden passing. Arnie was truly a special person that'll I'll always have fond memories of. Arnie was always quick to offer help, whether through checking on the house, offering a ride somewhere, or helping install or fixing something. You and Arnie were not just perfect neighbors, but friends! Will always treasure the time we spent together. In God's hands, may he rest in peace. Love, Scott

Dear Johnson family, Arnie was 'our' long-time plumber, introduced by Harry Berger. Through the years, and as we moved homes, Arnie provided us with a quality of service difficult to replicate. While finding someone to fill his professional shoes has not been easy (we are still searching!), the process pales with what you are now experiencing. May you have the sweetest of memories knowing you will meet him again. My condolences to you.

Dear Kathy and Family, It is with great sadness and shock to have heard of Arnie's passing. We had such great times the four of us and we will miss our Saturday breakfasts whether at A&W in Sylvan or Ricky,s in Calgary. We know that God will sustain you through this very difficult time and hold you and give you comfort in knowing he is in his heavenly home! Love, Heather and Dave
