Edward Frank Baumgartner

May 31st, 2020

Edward is lovingly remembered by his wife, Arcola Marguerite Baumgartner (nee Mitchell); sons, Edwin, John (Nancy) & Brian; daughter, Dawn (Todd); and brother, Joe (Cindy).  He also has several grandchildren & great-grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews that will miss his quick wit and giggles.  Edward is predeceased by his parents, Martha & Frank; as well as siblings, Irvin & Edna (Ed) Mireau (nee Baumgartner).   Edward was a vibrant and an amazing brother, uncle, husband & father (Grand) he will be greatly missed and remembered fondly.

Edward was a carpenter and furniture repair specialist for decades, he was considered a craftsman of his chosen trade.   He loved playing in the garden and starting plants as well as other projects to enhance his creativity.  He was a  great baker in the kitchen and loved working with his brother Joe on may construction projects/sites. His diagnosis of Alzheimer’s and or Dementia although it brief he fought hard.  We want to thank the entire staff of Dr’s, Nurses and Social Workers at the Didsbury District Health Services that helped make this transition easier and for their amazing care shown to our beloved Edward.  In lieu of flowers please give to the Alzheimer’s & Dementia Foundations to help with the cure.
