January 1, 1931 – July 26, 2016

Erik Nielsen of Calgary passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at the age of 85 years. Erik is lovingly remembered by his wife, Ada; children, Bent (Gudrun), Jan, Anna Marie, and Diane (Rodger) Smith; 3 grandchildren, Brody, Kevin and Gregory. Erik is predeceased by his grandson, Erik.

A Celebration of Erik’s Life will be held at Sharon Lutheran Church, 210 – 10 Avenue NE, Calgary, AB on Friday, August 5, 2016 at 10:30 am.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Erik’s memory to Rockyview Hospital – Cardiac Care Unit, c/o Calgary Health Trust, 800 – 11012 Macleod Trail SE, Calgary, AB, T2J 6A5.
