Jaden Chalmers, a beloved son, brother and grandson passed away suddenly on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at the age of 18 years.
Jaden will be lovingly remembered by his parents, Tim and Carla; his sister, Fatima (nephew, Colter) and brother, Brandon; his grandparents, Paul and Judy Gibson and Donnie and Laura Chalmers; his Uncle Trevor and Auntie Jen (Holly, Leah, Violet); Uncle Jeff and Auntie Nikki (Noah (Tina) and Grayson); Uncle Greg and Auntie Kristal (Maxwell, Ashlyn and Kalie); as well as many extended family members and numerous friends.
Jaden was a joyful, kind and loyal friend and brother, a leader with a strong sense of what is right. He worked hard at whatever he put his mind to, always wanting to excel whether it was at sports, school, band, or most recently, his job in the oilpatch. Jaden loved food and was always asking, at times first thing in the morning, “What’s for supper, Mom?” Jaden loved sports from a very early age. Hockey was his first passion, as well as volleyball and basketball during his school years. When it came to sports, he did it all- hockey goalie, golf, baseball, badminton, track and field, spring hockey, wakeboarding and downhill skiing. He was an excellent trumpet player and enjoyed his school band, as well as playing in Rocky View School Division Honour Bands and the Alberta Jazz Band. Growing up, Jaden enjoyed Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and Youth Group at Crossfield Baptist Church. He loved going to Whispering Pines Bible Camp every summer with his group of good friends, which always included his best bud and sidekick through life, his brother Brandon. He will be forever missed.
A Celebration of Jaden’s Life will be held Friday, September 30 at 2:00 pm, at Crossfield Baptist Church, 285176 Range Rd11 (Highway 2A), Crossfield, Alberta. The service will be live streamed at https://www.facebook.com/crossfieldbaptistchurch.

We're so sorry for your loss. Our prayers go out to all of you. My kids went to school with Jaden for a few years and he was always so nice to them. I remember many times my daughter telling about Jaden sticking up for her when she was being bullied. She was always grateful for that, and so was I. Jaden was a very kind soul.

Our hearts are breaking for your family’s loss. We cared so much for Jaden. He was a spunky, funny, intelligent boy and it was always a treat to have him and Brandon over throughout the years. He will always be remembered fondly.

We were very saddened to hear of Jaden's passing. It came as a very big shock to my daughter, Samantha, who grew up with Jaden. There are many happy memories with Jaden and Brandon both in school, and outside of school. Our hearts go out to the extended Chalmers family. Rest in peace, dear Jaden. You will be missed.
I went to elementary school with Jaden and he was always very sweet and caring but was also very competitive, I didn’t know Jaden in the more recent years of his life but thinking about the memories from us being stupid young kids he deserved a long life and he was lost too soon. I am very saddened by this loss and everyone that knew him even for a small amount of time will feel this loss as well. My heart goes out to his family as I can only imagine the heartbreak. Rest easy buddy.
