Eileen “Peggy” Cathern Abbenbroek (nee MacMillan) passed away peacefully in Calgary on Sunday, May 13th, 2018 with her family by her side. Peggy was born in McLennan, Alberta. Peggy will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Dirk; children, Richard, Robert, Laurie (Wayne) and Roger; grandchildren, Cassandra (Travis), Joshua, Jessica (Byran), Sabrina (Ryan) and Kyle; great grandchildren, Caleb and Grace; Siblings, Ruth, Howard, and Edith; god daughter, Lynda, and extended family and friends. The family would like to thank the Palliser staff at Bow View Manor for their continued care and support. At Peggy’s request, no service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations in Peggy’s memory may be made to The Kidney Foundation Of Canada, Southern Alberta Branch Office, 6007 1A St. SW, Calgary, AB T2H 0G5.
Every time I see yellow flowers and hear the song, "Pretty Paper!", I will think of you! I will miss you and I am grateful my children got to know you!
