Karl was a great valued employee at Pidherney's for close to 20 years. I am not quite sure how we hired Karl but I remember the story of how he was a bouncer at a bar in Innisfail called the Zoo and decided a life of construction was a little bit safer after a particular shift at the bar. He made the right choice and we got a great employee. Lionel W hired him and Karl was part of the first water and sewer crew that Pidherney's started. Karl worked water and sewer for those 20 years and was an essential member of any crew he was part of. His first position at Pidherney's was in a ditch where he soon graduated to a pipelayer. After several years Karl got out of the ditch and became a loader operator and then dozer operator. For a period of time Karl also worked as a deficiency foreman fixing the items that get left behind. Karl truly understood the water and sewer game as a worker and being part of the crew. Karl is predeceased by 3 of his great workmates - Ivan L, Bill E and Lionel W who were all Karl's friends and mentors. He is missed at Pidherney's and our hearts go out to his family and friends and to the memory of a great man who knew how to get it done. He is missed. Charlie

Karl was a vibrant man full of love and laughs. I have had the pleasure of getting to know him and his beautiful family over the last two years. He will be remembered and missed dearly. My condolences to the Zimmermann Family. Valerie

Sorry to here about Karl's passing. I was Karl's co worker at pidherneys and he influenced my operating in several ways. He was a good man and a great operator. My condolences to his family
