Maria Zajac

It is with great sadness that the family of Maria Zajac announce her passing on Friday, December 28, 2012 at the age of 87 years after a brief illness.  Maria was born in Poland on November 8, 1925 and then migrated to Germany at the age of 16 years to work. There she met and married her husband Josef. In 1951 she immigrated to Canada with her new family, working then at a farm in Alberta and later moved to Regina in 1953 where she lived until her passing.  Maria is predeceased by her grandson Jasson. She is survived by her husband Josef, daughters Irena, Tammy (Jim), and granddaughter Sabrina (Brandon).  Many thanks to the doctors and nurses that cared for Maria at the Regina General Hospital 6F and to Angelita of Courtesy Care Home for the love and care she provided over the past few months. A private family service was held at the care home.
