The world is a little less bright after losing one of its greatest contributors. Joseph Yuhasz passed away at the young age of 65 on September 24, 2021. Joe will always be remembered for his infectious smile and burly laugh that lit up every room he entered. He leaves behind his only child Tyler (Danielle); his cherished two grandchildren Lennon and Jack as well as his mother Marion Yuhasz and brothers Anthony (Jody), Terry (Lorene), and Doug (Lila) and their families. Joe was predeceased by his father, Joe Sr. Yuhasz.
Joe always had a way with people, and his strong bonds and relationships were the things that motivated him most. Whether it was greeting patrons and acquaintances while working at Regina Pats games, running into colleagues at work functions or catching up with friends at the local bowling alley, Joe always ran into someone he knew whenever he left his home. His rapport with every single person was that of the same, Joe always gave his best, and he always wanted your best. His outstanding community involvement, incredible work ethic, and general concern for the world around him and the people in it shone through on an uncontrollable level each and every day. If there was ever a person you wanted in your corner, it was Joe (especially at the card table).
Although Joe enjoyed his own rewarding and fulfilling life surrounded by friends and family, his most gratifying feat was raising his son Tyler. Whether it was attending every Roughrider home game together as season ticket holders, coaching Tyler on several sports teams, being his number one supporter in life, or encouraging him through the transition of becoming a father himself, Joe was always there. It is authentic to say that Joe and Tyler were and will continue to be very close.
A small and private family gathering is being held in memory of Joe this week and the family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Joseph may be made to Diabetes Canada.
