Rose Young

Born August 23, 1914 in Barons, Alberta and passed away on April 13, 2013 at the age of 98. She was predeceased by her husband, David; her son, David; brothers, Jim, Bill, George, and her sister, Mary. She is survived by her son, Dennis (Sandy); grandsons. Casey (Marie), Rob, Mike (Darlene); and granddaughter, Karen (Ron); great grandchildren, Tristan, Brayden, Kelly, Jessie, Jason and relatives across Canada. She was a fine example of what a good human being should be. She was a wonderful lady and will be sadly missed. Thank you to Dr. Kyne and the great staff at Bethany Care Centre Airdrie, for their care and concern. In accordance with her wishes there is will be no formal funeral. There will be an informal funeral service at the Bethany Care Centre Airdrie in the auditorium, 1736 – 1 Ave. NW on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bethany Care Centre Airdrie at the address above.

Dearest Family of Rose, We join with so many others who knew Rose in offering our deepest sympathy on her passing. Although it is of little consolation at this sad time, it should be some satisfaction to know that in her passing you can celebrate the end of a very long and productive life. The measure of a life well-lived is not in how much money one has or what possessions they have accumulated, but rather through the lives they touched and the sorrow they leave behind. If the outpouring of sympathy on her loss is any indication, and it most certainly is, you can proudly and confidently say that hers was indeed a life well-lived. Rose was Mom's best friend and confidant, always smiling, energetic, caring and full of life. Mom loved her dearly and couldn't wait for their meetings and now they will be together forever in heaven.
