It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Ernie at such a young age.

He was predeceased by his parents Ernst Gunther Wunnemann (Sr.) and Judith Lorraine Orum; his sister Jane Wunnemann; and niece Kayla Maycock.

He is survived by his sister Lisa Maycock (Gerry) and brother Warner Wunnemann; niece Brittany Maycock (Syd) and great-nephew Tristan Luna; brother-in-law Lorry Bedard; many close friends; and his dog "My Girl" which he loved unconditionally.

Ernie was a man that struggled with addiction for many years. He had some demons like so many people do. Family wanted to help save him but he would push us away. He was very proud and would struggle on his own. He always loved his family and would do anything for us. He was very generous to family, friends and strangers alike. Those special memories of you will always bring a smile. If only we could have you back for just a little while. We could sit and talk again just like we used to do. You meant so very much and always will too. The fact that you're no longer here will always cause us pain. But you're forever in our hearts until we all meet again. Fly with all the angels. P.S. Messages of Condolence

Ernie seeing your obituary is one of the most devastating things I’ve ever read. When I had heard of your passing, I didn’t believe it. You’re so strong! You have survived the unthinkable; let alone a brain aneurysm that only 3% of people make a full recovery from, and YOU, of course, are part of that 3%. That did not surprise me, for you have always been invincible in my eyes. You were the bestest friend I’ve ever had, and I yours, and we both always knew it. All of my memories with you, make me laugh so much! You were such an incredible spirit, that your presence is feels so strong! I remember one of the last times I had seen you and you were speaking of death. But the way you had spoken about it, was as though you had had a Devine knowledge that I, anyone could truly understand. What I don’t understand is, why did you leave us when you hadn’t left us when so few would have been able to remain. I love you Ernie! I always will! I know that you are happy with your beloved mother and your beloved father that you spoke so fondly of. You can now be with your niece that had meant more to you than words can say. I am so proud of you Ernie. You left this world a man that was very intelligent, quite possibly more intelligent for his own good, and you will never be forgotten. I am going to miss you so much Ernie. ❤️
