Robert Wright

Robert Wright passed away into the presence of his Lord on November 24, 2016. His wife Phyllis went on before him in 2008. He will be greatly missed by his son, Brian (Christine) and his daughter, Sheryl. As well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Robert was born in Tisdale, Saskatchewan and grew up in a small farming community. He was the youngest of nine children and was fortunate enough to continue on with his schooling beyond many young people of his day. He went on to graduate in 1952 from the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon, with a degree in Pharmacy. He worked in Regina, Calgary, Vancouver and New Westminster. He married Phyllis in 1961 in Vancouver and they made their home in Burnaby, BC where they raised their two children. Robert retired in 1989 and moved to Abbotsford, BC where he spent many happy years.

A memorial service to be held at Grace Church, 2087 McMillan Road, Abbotsford, BC at 1:30 pm on December 1, 2016.

In memory of Robert, donations to Union Gospel Mission would be appreciated.

Our prayers are with your family as you mourn the death of your father. I had the honor of going through membership classes with your mom and dad at Grace Church and they were among the most joyous and supportive when Greg got saved then when we made our way to the mission field. Loved going to their house for tea, we will miss Rob greatly.

Dear Sheryl and Brian, May the Lord be with you at this time. Rob and I had many chats over the years. The Good times we shared at Cascades and later on. He is in a far better place and we have the hope in Christ, we will meet again Jim Acheson
