Darlene ”Woody" Woodman (nee van der Meer)

Darlene passed away peacefully, with family by her side at the Foothills Medical Center on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at the age of 75 years.

She is lovingly remembered by her spouse of 46 years, Larry Dahl and family, Dennis; Jazlyn and Dallas, Evelyn; Cody (Justine) and Tyler and Lance (Pat); Michaela; as well as extended family. She was deeply loved by many and will be truly missed. A private family gathering will be held at a later date.

Messages of Condolence

I/We are at a loss. Woody was a friend. A friend that memories from a beginning (1979) cannot erase. A true friend that I saw always hold true to my heart. I can remember her laugh, her caring of my two little girls from the beginning (now 39 & 37), her great cooking of a stew (always loved when she said for us 3 to stay when Guy out of town!), her wholebeing was part of the Mersereau family. As I worked, she brought up my 2 little girls. She & Larry are Erins’ God Parents who graciously stood up & took on that short term task. So many thoughts run through my time with her. I shall miss her. Here is hoping that Heaven has Bingo. And when the time comes, I shall sit next to her for the next Bingo game. God Bless You Woody. You will always be in my heart.
