WISE, Gary Wayne

Born: Medicine Hat. Lived: Carstairs. 

Sept 17, 1944 - October 23, 2019. 

Gary Wise passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family. 

Gary worked for Calgary Transit for almost 50 years. The annual picnics and banquets, flowers/bible, and help with the funeral expenses were so nice.

Gary loved his family, more than anything else in the world ... along with his western movies, rye and coke, dogs, horses, cabbage rolls, tapioca pudding, boating, fishing, hunting, onion sandwiches, road trips, coffee and volunteering on his children’s sports teams were dear to his heart. 

Gary will be missed dearly by all who knew him. He was an incredible man. He always put his family first. He will live on in our hearts, minds, thoughts, prayers, and laughs forever.

Gary is lovingly remembered by his wife, Rhonda; three children, Kerry (Rick) Barbe, Trina (Dan) Felker, Wayne (Tiffany) Wise; and seven grandchildren.

Thank you to Dr. Collingridge, the nurses at the Didsbury Hospital and West Zion church members. 

Following Gary’s wishes, there will not be a funeral service. However, well-wishers are encouraged to eat an onion sandwich with butter, salt and pepper in his honour!
