It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Irene on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at the age of 70 years. Irene is lovingly remembered by her husband of 48 years, Wes; sons, Stephen (Tyla) and Jeffery (Amy); and grandchildren, Emma and Remi. Irene had a love of the outdoors and could often be found hiking or cross country skiing. She also enjoyed curling.

A Memorial Service will be held at the St. Agnes Catholic Church, Carstairs, AB on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Irene’s memory to the Cancer Society.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Irene was a lovely warm hearted woman who stopped by my booth often to buy pepper jellies for her sons. I always enjoyed chatting with her and I know she will be sorely missed by her family and friends. My condolences and hugs to you all. I lost my mom recently and although time is a healer, it still hurts.
